The City of Cuyahoga Falls will celebrate the grand opening of the RiverLoop and the South Front Street Transformation on Saturday, October 24, with a community celebration highlighting the completed projects and new ways to experience Downtown Cuyahoga Falls and the Cuyahoga River.

The celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Downtown Pavilion and Plaza, 2085 Front St. Attendees are invited to explore the improvements, learn more about the projects, and meet members of the architectural and construction teams, along with City staff who helped bring the project to life.

The RiverLoop features an ADA-accessible upper route and a new boardwalk along the Cuyahoga River, offering scenic views, public art, and points of interest along the way. The South Front Street Transformation includes streetscape improvements that complement the riverfront and create a more connected downtown experience.

As part of the celebration, Mayor Don Walters will lead an official RiverLoop tour at noon, with guest speakers at stops along the route sharing the stories behind the project’s unique features. Community members can pick up a RiverLoop map and join the tour or explore the route at their own pace. Light refreshments will be available.

Members of the media are invited to attend, capture photos and video of the completed improvements, and interview Mayor Don Walters and project team members about the projects and the work behind them.
