The Cuyahoga Falls Police Force makes a difference in our lives every day they step into the street, but they also make a large impact on many families in the surrounding area through their leadership and giving.

Here are just a few examples as to how the CFPD is working for our community.

Remembering our Local Heroes

Police Memorial

Every year in May, the Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake Police Memorial and Honor Guard Foundation host a memorial service to pay tribute to fallen officers. In August 2012, the Police Memorial was dedicated in the City of Cuyahoga Falls to honor the men and women of the Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake Police Departments. Each year, during National Police Week, a service is held to remember and honor fallen officers.

Impacting Our Community

Hots 'n' Shots Charity Basketball Game

The Cuyahoga Falls Fire and Police Departments challenge each other to a friendly competitive basketball game each year in support of the Falls Cancer Club, bringing the community together for a great cause.

Shop with A Cop

Every child participating in this event is provided a gift card to spend on toys and clothes for the holiday season. They are paired with a Cuyahoga Falls Police Officer for a great shopping adventure, making sure that these kids have everything they need.

Torch Run

The annual torch run unites police forces across jurisdictions, as officers from once city pass the lighted beacon to its neighbor. Cuyahoga Falls Police Department participates in this benefit for the Special Olympics.

Toys for Tickets

During the holiday season, young children may benefit from the minor traffic violation caught in Cuyahoga Falls. The toys for tickets program allows ticketed motorists to exchange a warning for an unwrapped gift to be donated to a family in need.
