Veteran Banner Program

Program Information

The City of Cuyahoga Falls Veteran Banner Program honors local veterans and active-duty service members who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

Each banner will feature a military photo, the veteran’s name, branch of service, and years served.

Banners will be displayed on light poles along Portage Trail from 13th Street to Lillis Drive.

The cost of each banner is $125, which includes design, printing, installation, and removal.

Banner spaces are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Banners will be displayed from Independence Day through Veterans Day. After Veterans Day, banners will be removed and made available for pickup by the applicant. Applicants will be notified when banners are ready for pickup.

Eligibility Requirements

The honored veteran or service member must meet one of the following:

  • Current resident of Cuyahoga Falls 
  • Former resident of Cuyahoga Falls 
  • Family member of a current resident of Cuyahoga Falls 

In addition, the individual must be:

  • A military veteran, or 
  • An active-duty service member

Application Requirements

Applications will be accepted until Monday, May 25, 2026, or until all banner spaces are filled, whichever comes first.

Applications must include:

  1. Name 
  2. Branch of Service 
  3. Years Served 
  4. High-resolution photo 
  5. Payment

Review Process

Applications will be reviewed upon submission. A completed application and payment are required to reserve a banner space.

Submitting an application does not guarantee placement. The City of Cuyahoga Falls reserves the right to deny any application that does not meet program requirements or is submitted in bad faith.

Liability

The City of Cuyahoga Falls is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged banners, including damage caused by weather, accidents, or vandalism.

If a banner is damaged and requires repair or replacement, it will be removed and returned to the applicant.
