Construction Specifications Document

The city handles building matters including zoning approvals, flood-plain administration, sewer tapper licenses, dangerous buildings, clandestine drug labs, sanitary, storm, and waterline permits, grading and paving permits, sidewalk, drive approach, and curb cut permits, and street occupancy permits. The city also issues licenses for sewer builders and conducts plan review for right-of-ways.

Contractor Registration

The Cuyahoga Falls City Ordinances state that contractors whose work involves excavations within the City's Right-of-Ways must register with the the engineering department before working within city limits. Registration fees are $100.00 per listing. Please reference the General Contractor Registration and Sewer Tapper licenses to file your registration with the city. SUMMIT COUNTY DIVISION OF BUILDING STANDARDS

The City of Cuyahoga Falls collaborates with the County of Summit in an effort to streamline building standard operations. All building and construction matters, with the exception of the above mentioned items, may be directed to the Summit County Division of Building Standards which is responsible for regulating the construction, demolition, and occupancy of buildings and structures within the Summit County jurisdiction, in order to protect the health, safety and welfare of all residents.
