Mayor Don Walters announces that the 2026 Citywide Leaf Pick-up Program will begin Monday, October 26, 2026, and run through Friday, December 4, 2026.
Each residence will receive three scheduled leaf pick-up dates. Residents can find their scheduled pick-up dates and routes by visiting www.cityofcf.com and clicking on the Fall Curbside Leaf Pickup link on the main landing page, or by calling the Leaf Line at (330) 971-8031.
Leaves must be raked to the curb onto the tree lawn by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled pick-up day. Rake leaves into a long line along the tree lawn instead of one large pile. Do not rake leaves into the street. Leaves will not be picked up if mixed with tree limbs, debris, or any additional waste.
To help crews collect leaves efficiently, keep leaves clear of any obstructions such as utility poles, mailboxes, and trees. Residents are reminded to not park vehicles along streets during scheduled pick-up days, as parked vehicles may prevent crews from collecting leaves.
Inclement weather conditions or holidays could cause minor delays in the collection program.
Residents may also place leaves in tan yard waste carts on regular sanitation days. City ordinance prohibits placing leaves in plastic bags, trash, or recycling carts. The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency prohibits open burning, including leaves.
