Mayor Don Walters is pleased to announce the return of the Spring Sustainability Expo on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium. The Spring Sustainability Expo will showcase local businesses and organizations on the cutting edge of sustainable practices, conservation, and environmental education.

Free home garden starter sets and free naive plants will be available while supplies last, courtesy of the Cuyahoga Falls High School-based Community Agriculture for Local Impact students from the Six-District Compact’s Career-Technical Education Program and Walsh Jesuit Environmental Science students, respectively. 

Student art and environmental education displays will be featured, where attendees can cast votes on the best projects.

Vendors and presenters will provide information on the following topics:

• Composting
• Gardening
• Recycling
• Cuyahoga River health
• Native plants
• Pollinator-friendly yards
• Organic lawn care
• Electric Vehicles
• Household stormwater management & rain gardens
• Energy efficiency
• Zero-waste lifestyle
• Local conservation efforts
• Volunteer service project opportunities

Drug Take Back Day Held in Conjunction with the Spring Sustainability Expo

In conjunction with the Spring Sustainability Expo, the City of Cuyahoga Falls will also host a Drug Take Back event on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium.

Drug Take Back Day aims to collect expired, unwanted, or unused medication from residents to help make the community safer and healthier. Needles and liquids will not be accepted. In addition to Drug Take Back Day, residents may drop off unused and expired medication 24/7 at the drug disposal drop box in the lobby of the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department, 2310 Second Street.
