On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., City of Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don Walters will be joined by Cuyahoga Falls business owners across the Portage Trail Bridge for a ribbon cutting ceremony to signify the reopening of Cuyahoga Falls businesses upon the expiration of public health orders.

Media members are invited to attend on the southside section of the bridge for the ceremony.

"Throughout the pandemic, our businesses made quick and innovative pivots to continue services to all of our residents and visitors, and, because of their ingenuity, were able to keep their businesses thriving,’ stated Mayor Walters. “Whether it was in person, shopping online, or using carryout services, our businesses followed health guidelines and remained committed to seeing our city continue to move forward and succeed. As the public health orders expire, I want this ribbon cutting ceremony to remind the region that Cuyahoga Falls is open for business"
