Community Support Available
You do not have to navigate this alone.
Today, October 18, 2026, our community has experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. We recognize that its impact extends beyond those directly involved. City staff, Natatorium patrons, witnesses, residents, and others in our community may be processing what happened in different ways.
The City of Cuyahoga Falls, in partnership with the Summit County Victim Assistance Program, invites anyone who may need support to attend an open community drop-in support session on Wednesday, October 21, at 6 p.m. in the Erie Room of the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium.
Victim Assistance representatives will be available to provide support and help connect individuals with additional resources. You do not need to have witnessed the incident to attend. Anyone who feels they could benefit from support is welcome.
Help is also available anytime through the Victim Assistance Program’s 24/7 Crisis Intervention Hotline. Call or text 330-376-0040 for support at any time.

During this difficult time, we encourage our community to look out for one another and remember that it is ok to reach out for help. Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family and everyone affected by this tragedy.
