Mayor Don Walters is proud to announce the return of summer fun to Downtown Cuyahoga Falls. The jam-packed schedule of free events includes something for everyone, with concerts, movies, and cultural events.
Falls Fire Showdown
The season will kick off on Friday, June 6, with the 5th Annual Falls Fire Showdown Smoke on the Water competition. Watch teams of firefighters from around the region compete in a relay challenge to determine who is the best of the best. The event starts at 5 p.m. with the showdown, followed at 8 p.m. by the Cleveland Breakfast Club, playing favorites from the 80s and 90s. The event benefits the Cuyahoga Falls Firefighter Memorial Foundation and will feature family-friendly activities, food trucks, and local craft beer.
Friday, August 1
Falls Downtown Friday returns on August 1 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with headliner Carlos Jones and the PLUS Band taking the stage at 8 p.m. and opener Stamper Starr at 6 p.m. Presented by Alro Steel, Western Reserve Hospital, and the City of Cuyahoga Falls, the event will feature family-friendly activities, food trucks, and local craft beer at the Downtown Plaza.
Flix on the Falls
Flix on the Falls is back with fun for the whole family. Activities start at 6:30 p.m., and the movie begins at dusk.
- June 20 – Moana 2 - activities include a reptile show, live music, food trucks, and inflatables
- July 11 – Wicked – activities include a concert, photo ops, activities, and food trucks
- July 25 – The Grinch – activities include holiday activities, food trucks, and inflatables
Front Street Live
Front Street Live, sponsored by Western Reserve Hospital, returns to the Paddle Park Stage and Fountain Stage on June 6 – August 8 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Paddle Park is located at Portage Trail and Front Street, and the Fountain Stage, at Stow Ave and Front Street.
Army Band and Fireworks
The Ohio Army 122nd National Guard Band will play at the Downtown Amphitheater on Friday, June 27. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and will include family-friendly and children’s activities, food trucks, and fireworks.
National Night Out
The Cuyahoga Falls Police Department and the Parks and Recreation Department will team up on Tuesday, August 5, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at a location to be determined for an evening of fun, K-9 demonstrations, activities, food, and touch-a-truck with safety vehicles.

Riverfront Car Cruise In
