Mayor Don Walters is pleased to announce that the City of Cuyahoga Falls will host the 2022 Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, November 26, 2022, in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls.

“The tree lighting celebration is our official kickoff to the holiday season,” stated Mayor Don Walters. “I invite all to join us for a magical evening of family-friendly activities, entertainment, and fun in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls.”

Festivities will begin at 4:00 p.m. with ice carving demonstrations, crafts, and live reindeer. Santa Claus and Mayor Walters will arrive by fire truck and light the tree at 6:00 p.m. Ice skating, photo opportunities, and food trucks will be available for the duration of the event. 

The ice rink will be open for skating on Saturday, November 26, 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. Admission is free. Skate rental is $4. Visit https://www.cityofcf.com/places/ice-skating-rink for complete ice rink hours and more information.

Parking Restrictions and Road Closures

  • No parking on Front Street between Broad Boulevard and Portage Trail on Saturday, November 26, from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. 
  • Front Street between Broad Boulevard and Portage Trail and Riverfront Parkway between Broad Boulevard and the Portage Trail Bridge will be closed to traffic on Saturday, November 26, from 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
