Mayor Don Walters is pleased to announce that the City of Cuyahoga Falls, in partnership with Rubber City Reuse, will host its annual pumpkin, gourd, and holiday mums collection event for all residents from October 31 to December 31, at the Cuyahoga Falls Service Complex, 2560 Bailey Road at the Gaylord Grove Road entrance. These organic waste collection bins will be near the cardboard collection bin.
The following items will be accepted:
- Pumpkins
- Gourds
- Mums
- Straw
- Hay
- Corn Stalks
This collection drive aims to divert organic material from our landfills and utilize it in an environmentally friendly way. Rubber City Reuse will convert all usable material into compost. Last year, over 45,000 pounds were collected. Please note that the collection is for organic holiday items only, not food scraps.
