Cuyahoga Falls Neighborhood Ambassadors are partnering with the City of Cuyahoga Falls and the Riverfront YMCA to organize the Fifth Annual Cuyahoga Falls 3-On-3 Basketball Tournament. The event will take place on Saturday, August 13, at noon at Lions Park, 641 Silver Lake Avenue.

“The Cuyahoga Falls 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament is a great way to celebrate the fitness and sportsmanship that is so often on display at basketball courts and other sports fields around the city,” state Neighborhood Ambassador and event organizer Alex Hall. “Cuyahoga Falls also has an impressive basketball history—including at Lions Park—so this event celebrates that aspect of our awesome city as well.”

"The tournament is a great example of our Neighborhood Ambassadors in action," stated Mayor Don Walters. “Alex and his team of fellow ambassadors and volunteers are truly dedicated to making this family-friendly community event a success.”

Coed teams are encouraged to sign up to play in this officiated event. There is no entry fee to participate. Teams consist of four persons including three players and one alternate and are placed in one of two brackets. The adult bracket is for ages 18 and over, and the youth bracket is for ages 14 through 17. If a player is over 17 but enrolled in high school, they are qualified to play on a youth team. Teams must submit a registration form no later than Friday, August 5.

Mayor Walters will challenge a willing spectator to a basketball shooting game of C-F-O before the championship game. Spectators are encouraged to come and cheer on the players.

Volunteer opportunities include referees, scorekeepers, timekeepers, and set-up or tear-down crews.
