Mayor Don Walters announces that the 2021 Citywide Leaf Pick-up Program will begin Monday, October 25, 2021, and run through Friday, December 3, 2021.

Each residence receives three (3) scheduled leaf pick-up dates. Scheduled pick-up dates and routes can be found by visiting www.cityofcf.com and clicking on the Leaf Pickup Program link or calling the Leaf Line at 330.971.8031.

Leaves must be raked to the curb onto the tree lawn by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled day of pickup.  Leaves must be raked into a long line along the tree lawn instead of into one large pile, like in years past. Leaves will not be picked up if mixed with tree limbs, debris, or any additional waste.  Do not rake leaves into the street. Please do not park cars along streets during scheduled pick-up days, as it may be impossible to remove the leaves.

Leaf Crews will pick up bulk lines of leaves on scheduled dates. Due to limited staff resources and safe COVID practices, all leaves will be picked up directly from the tree lawn. When placing the leaves along the tree lawn, please avoid placing the leaves behind all obstructions such as poles, mailboxes, and trees. Inclement weather conditions or holidays could cause minor delays in the collection program.

Please note, leaves placed in brown paper yard waste bags will not be picked up. After leaf pickup is complete, leaves will only be picked up in tan yard waste carts on city trash pickup days.  Brown paper yard waste bags are no longer accepted. Do not place leaves in plastic bags or any other container for trash pickup as it is prohibited by City ordinance. Rulings of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency prohibit all open burning, including leaves.
