Application information for the American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) Scholarship Program is available through local High School Guidance Offices.

2026 Applications are due to the Electric Department by MONDAY, December 8th, 2025, at 5:00 pm.

AMP has established this scholarship program to encourage high school students in member communities to further their education and to raise awareness of careers in municipal electric utilities.

The Cuyahoga Falls Electric System (CFES) may nominate one candidate for the Lyle B. Wright Scholarship and one candidate for the Richard H. Gorsuch Scholarship. High school seniors who will graduate in the spring, have met all the basic college or technical school requirements, and have a 3.0 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale are encouraged to contact their guidance counsellors for an application and detailed eligibility information. The amount of these one-time scholarship awards is $3,000.

AMP Scholarship recipients will be selected based on grade point average, personal achievements, knowledge of public power, and a personal interview.  For more information, please contact your High School Guidance Office or the Cuyahoga Falls Electric System at (330) 971-8060.
