Due to recent heat-related concerns, the Cuyahoga Falls Electric Department will be raising the primary line voltage that services your business and the surrounding area. This will require a scheduled power outage on August 6th, starting at approximately 9:00 am and will be completed by 11:00 am. In order to ensure a safe and smooth transition, we highly recommend that you contract with an electrician (or company maintenance personnel) and disconnect and reconnect your own power at 9 am and 11 a.m. This would be accomplished by opening and closing your own main breakers (or switch gear) at these times. The voltage transition will take place regardless of your ability to arrange for assistance. Once power is restored, you will have the same voltage for your appliances and equipment as before.
If rain or other emergencies take precedence, Wednesday, August 13th, will be our next scheduled day. Please refer to the City’s website, www.cityofcf.com, on the morning of August 6th for an updated status or notice of cancellation.
