Mayor Don Walters is pleased to announce the return of the City of Cuyahoga Falls' River-City Cleanup Series on Saturday, September 23, at River Front Park in celebration of National Public Lands Day and Saturday, October 28, at Mud Brook Greenway Trail from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The River-City Cleanup Series is part of ongoing efforts to Improve water quality, promote environmental sustainability, enhance the recreational opportunities available to residents and visitors, and provide environmental education. The cleanups are co-hosted with Summit Soil and Water Conservation District, Rubber City Reuse, Shelf Life, and Stonewall Garden.

In addition, Shelf Life will hold a gardening/plant book swap at each cleanup. All are encouraged to bring unused books on these topics. Attendees will be able to win prizes from the hosts on the day of the cleanup, and if they attend both cleanups, they will be entered into a grand prize drawing at the end of the series.
