The City of Cuyahoga Falls will host a drug take back event on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the rear entrance of the Police Department on the west side of City Hall, 2310 Second Street.

The goal of the event, held on National Drug Take Back Day, is to collect unused or expired medications from residents to help make the community safer.

“Unused and expired prescriptions in the home are a public safety issue,” stated Mayor Don Walters. “Help keep Cuyahoga Falls safe by properly disposing of medication that you no longer need at our Drug Take Back Day event.”

Needles and liquids will not be accepted at the event. Sharps disposal, including needles and lancets, is available through Summit County Public Health. For more information about the sharps disposal program, please call SCPH at 330-926-5600.

In addition to the drug take back event, residents may drop off unused and expired medication 24/7 at the drug disposal drop box in the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department lobby.
