The City of Cuyahoga Falls Department of Community Development has announced that applications for both Economic Development and Public Service projects for the 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Year open on Friday, February 27, 2026.

Economic Development Grant Applications

The City will accept Economic Development grant applications from February 27, 2026, through March 20, 2026. Funding for the 2026 program year is capped at $236,000.

Public Service Grant Applications

Public Service grant applications are also being accepted, with a submission deadline of March 20, 2026. Funding for Public Service projects is capped at $20,000 for the 2026 program year.

Applications must include all requested documentation to be considered complete.

Eligible projects for both categories must:

  • Meet a national objective as outlined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
  • Align with the City’s priorities as detailed in its Five-Year Consolidated Plan.
  • Include leveraged funds for each project.
     

Funding for both grant programs is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Projects requesting administrative funding or activity delivery costs are not eligible.
