The City of Cuyahoga Falls is requesting public comment for a substantial amendment to the 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan.  New projects for the 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan period are being added to the proposed plan, requiring public review and comment. New Public Service, Housing, and Public Facilities and Improvement projects were added. The proposed projects identify activities to be funded and undertaken during the Consolidated Plan period. The City also proposes the 2019 Annual Action Plan amendment for review and comment. COVID-19 funds originally approved as administrative funds in the previous amendment, have been repurposed for COVID-19 public service activities. Lastly, the City proposes the 2023 Annual Action Plan, which contains activities and funding sources that are identified in the 2019-2023 Amended Consolidated Plan.  The purpose of all projects funded with Community Development Block Grant funds are for the benefit of low- and moderate-income citizens.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development has approved a not less than 30-day public comment period.  The comment period will begin on Friday, February 3, 2023 and end Monday, March 6, 2023, which will allow the public to make comments or suggestions regarding related needs and use of these funds.

The City of Cuyahoga Falls will hold two (2) public meetings to discuss changes to the 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan, 2019 Annual Action Plan, and the new 2023 Annual Action Plan.  Residents, officials, and stakeholders are welcome and encouraged to visit the Lincoln room at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium, located at 2345 4th St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 on February 14, 2023 for a morning meeting at 10:00 AM and an evening meeting at 6:00 PM to discuss the amendments and new projects, in person.
