Please be advised that due to downed power lines and a broken pole that were caused by a fallen tree, Portage Trail Extension West will be CLOSED from Northampton Rd to Akron-Peninsula Road so that electric crews can replace the pole and complete line repairs. The road will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. TONIGHT and will remain closed until approximately 6 a.m. Saturday morning. Once the repairs are made, power can be restored to those who are effected by the outage. Detours will be posted. Emergency crews have been notified.
