The City of Cuyahoga Falls is committed to the economic growth and prosperity of our community. In order to ensure the success of our local businesses, we offer a variety of economic tools and incentives. Economic Development staff members will evaluate and review each project to determine the best option(s) available to meet the goals of your business.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funding

The City of Cuyahoga Falls is an entitlement community with the Department of Housing and Urban Development and a portion of our yearly allocation is dedicated to economic development incentives. Currently, the City offers gap financing in the form of a low-interest loan that can be used for working capital and/or the purchase of equipment. We also offer various matching grants to new businesses and existing businesses looking to expand. In order to be eligible for CDBG assistance, a business must create or retain jobs for low-to-moderate income individuals. The required number of jobs is determined by the amount of assistance given to the business.
