Mayor Walters is proud to announce “Summer Fun Flows Here,” a community art installation at City Hall in partnership with Western Reserve Hospital. The photo exhibit celebrates summer fun in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls through the creative lenses of residents and visitors. The community was asked to submit their unique experiences in the newly redeveloped Downtown Cuyahoga Falls. The Summer Fun Flows Here photo series will be on view in City Hall through November 30th, in the main hallway, in the main conference room, and in the office of Mayor Don Walters. Photo series participants include: Andrew Fry, Layla Wayman, Erin Dockery, Thomas Sullivan, Victoria Rose, Adam Nicholson, Scott Hopkins, Craig Fisher, Bobbi Baird, and Matt Weiss. The submitted images truly encompass why life is better here in Cuyahoga Falls! The community is invited to view the art show during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“We were thrilled as we watched our riverfront and downtown come back to life through the Falls Downtown Fridays event series, festivals, and the reopening of Front Street,” stated Mayor Don Walters. “It is exciting to see the photos that were captured of our downtown with everyone out and about enjoying our local businesses and celebrating our new family and pet friendly public spaces and events.”

“We were proud to partner with the City on this project that gave community members a way to creatively share their appreciation for the newly developed Downtown Cuyahoga Falls,” said Dr. Robert Kent, president and CEO, Western Reserve Hospital. “These photos offer a diverse array of viewpoints and activities, and visually tell the story of one of our City’s best assets.”

Western Reserve Hospital is providing services by art curator Jessica Lofthus to select and hang the art pieces to create cohesive collections. Art work continues to periodically be rotated out of City Hall and replaced with new works so that the community may continue to enjoy art, free of charge.
