Mayor Don Walters is pleased to announce the second installment of the 2022 Falls Downtown Fridays summer entertainment series held in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls. The event is scheduled for Friday, June 24, from 6 to 10 p.m. and will feature local music, craft beer, food, and family-friendly activities.
Radio partner 91.3 The Summit and Jeff Klemm & The Letters will kick off the event from 6 to 7:30 p.m., followed by headliner Marc Lee Shannon at 8 p.m. Falls Downtown Fridays is presented by the City of Cuyahoga Falls, Western Reserve Hospital, Clear Gold Audio & Lighting, and Pilot Plastics. Beer will be provided by HiHO Brewing Company and Missing Mountain Brewing Company. The Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce Foundation will be the non-profit beneficiary of beer sales.
Pizza-Eating Contest to Benefit Good Neighbors
Local competitive eating champion David ‘Coondog’ O’Karma will take on challengers in a pizza-eating competition at 7:30 p.m. This year marks the 50th anniversary of O’Karma’s win in a local pizza-eating competition. Contest registration is available at www.cityofcf.com/form/pizza-eating-contest and is limited to the first 30 paid contestants. The registration fee is $30, with all proceeds benefiting Cuyahoga Falls Good Neighbors. Falls Downtown Fridays sponsor Clutch Lanes and Sports Center will provide the competition pizza. The winner of the pizza-eating competition will receive a commemorative pizza paddle.
