Mayor Don Walters is pleased to announce the return of the City of Cuyahoga Falls' River-City Cleanup Series on Saturday, May 20, at Water Works Park and Saturday, June 10, at River Front Park from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The River-City Cleanup Series is part of ongoing efforts to improve water quality, promote environmental sustainability, enhance the recreational opportunities available to residents and visitors, and provide environmental education.

The cleanups are co-hosted with Float the River, Burning River Adventures, Conservation on the Cuyahoga, and Falls Outdoor Company. In addition, Shelf Life will hold a gardening/plant book swap at each cleanup; all are encouraged to bring unused books on these topics. Attendees will be able to win prizes from the hosts on the day of the cleanup, and if they attend both cleanups, they will be entered into a grand prize drawing at the end of the series.
