Mayor Don Walters is pleased to announce that the City of Cuyahoga Falls, in partnership with Summit e-Waste Recycling Solutions, will host an electronics recycling event for all residents on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Cuyahoga Falls Service Complex, 2560 Bailey Road. Participants must enter the Gaylord Grove Road entrance.

The following items are accepted:

  • Desktop Computers & Laptops
  • Printers - All Types and Sizes
  • Cell Phones, PDAs & Mobile Devices
  • Telephones & Phone Systems
  • Modems, Routers & Servers
  • DVD Players, VCRs & Stereos
  • Game Consoles & Radios
  • Cables, Wires & Power Adapters
  • Ink & Toner Cartridges
  • Anything that plugs in or uses batteries
  • Computer Monitors
  • Televisions
  • Batteries

Please note, there is a charge for CRT "tube" televisions: $10 per 12" and smaller and $20 for anything over 12". Summit e-Waste accepts all forms of payment. Hard drive shredding will also be available on-site. Summit e-Waste attendants will direct participant where to park to access hard drive/laptop/desktop shredding services. 

Fall Cleanup Program:

The Fall Cleanup Program for all Cuyahoga Falls Sanitation customers that will run from Tuesday, September 6 through Saturday, September 10, and Monday, September 12, through Friday, September 16.  Please place all Fall clean-up refuse at the curb on your regularly scheduled trash pickup day by 7:00 a.m. for collection during this time.

Hazardous waste, tires, car parts, or large amounts of construction material will not be taken. All other acceptable trash items (furniture, appliances, misc.) will be picked up free of charge.

Additionally, yard carts are available and may be obtained by visiting the Utility Billing Department. A $25 down payment is required but is refundable upon return of the cart. Please remember that yard carts and all trash receptacles should be placed 3 feet away from the curbs, trees, and any other obstructions so that sanitation workers may complete all pickups as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Residents and businesses are reminded that the only yard waste materials that are accepted are leaves, grass clippings, weeds and brush, shrubbery, edgings without dirt, and twigs and small branches that are less than four inches in diameter. Contamination charges may apply for items such as trash, dirt, rocks, mulch, and plastic bags.
