Cuyahoga Falls Neighborhood Ambassadors are partnering with the City of Cuyahoga Falls and the Riverfront YMCA to organize the Sixth Annual Cuyahoga Falls 3-On-3 Basketball Tournament. The event will take place on Saturday, August 5, at noon at Lions Park, 641 Silver Lake Avenue.

“The Cuyahoga Falls 3-On-3 Basketball Tournament exemplifies the community spirit that exists in our great city,” stated Neighborhood Ambassador and event organizer, Alex Hall. “I truly appreciate Mayor Walters and his team’s commitment to the Neighborhood Excellence Initiative for supporting grassroots community events like this one.”

“Alex and his team of fellow ambassadors and volunteers continue to strengthen the fabric of our great community,” stated Mayor Walters. “We can’t wait to see our Neighborhood Ambassadors in action again this year at the tournament.”

Coed teams are encouraged to sign up to play in this officiated event. There is no entry fee to participate. Teams consist of four persons including three players and one alternate and are placed in one of two brackets. The adult bracket is for ages 18 and over, and the youth bracket is for ages 14 through 17. If a player is over 17 but enrolled in high school, they are qualified to play on a youth team. Teams must submit a registration form no later than Friday, July 28.

Mayor Walters will challenge a willing spectator to a basketball shooting game of C-F-O before the championship game. Spectators are encouraged to come and cheer on the players.

Volunteer opportunities include referees, scorekeepers, timekeepers, and set-up or tear-down crews.
