Mayor Don Walters and the Parks and Recreation Department Announce "Rec2Go Bag" Program
May 07, 2020
Mayor Don Walters and the Parks and Recreation Department are excited to announce a new "Rec2Go Bag" program that allows Cuyahoga Falls families to sign up for FREE bags of recreational supplies and activities. Each week Parks and Recreation staff will lead your family via Facebook video on how to complete each activity. There is a limited number of bags and they will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Please visit the City's website at www.cityofcf.com beginning Monday, May 11 to sign up for your Rec2Go bag.
Anyone who registers for a bag will have a personal delivery from Mobile Rec the first week of June.
In addition to the Rec2Go bags, the Parks and Recreation staff has designed virtual programming to keep you busy and engaged this summer! A calendar will be posted on the City's website and on the Parks and Rec Facebook page, allowing families to RECreate at home...don't wait to check it out and make plans to join us for fun activities for the whole family!
*UPDATE: We are so happy to see such an overwhelming positive response to our Rec2Go program! It's great to know that you're just as excited as we are about creating fun together this summer as a community! Please know that we've already had hundreds of families submit a response and are therefore planning on a second delivery in JULY. Anyone who was not able to sign up for the June delivery will be given first preference for July (new signup link will be posted). Be sure to follow our Parks & Recreation Department on Facebook for updates.
