The Cuyahoga Falls Firefighter Memorial Foundation will host an Open House and Pancake Breakfast event on Sunday, September 5, from 8 a.m. to noon, at Fire Station #3, 1601 Portage Trail. The community is invited to take tours of the new Fire Station #3. A pancake breakfast will be served for $8/person with a $40 maximum per family. Proceeds from the pancake breakfast will benefit the Cuyahoga Falls Firefighter Memorial Foundation. Funds are currently being raised for the design and construction of a memorial site that will be located at Fire Station #1, 1924 Front Street.

“I am excited to finally be able to welcome the community to come together to see and enjoy our beautiful new Fire Station #3,” stated Cuyahoga Falls Fire Chief Chris Martin. “I am incredibly proud of all of our firefighters who are involved in the fundraising efforts for our firefighter memorial and am grateful for all of the support that is being given to the Cuyahoga Falls Firefighter Memorial Foundation.”

Chris Cakes Catering will serve all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, orange juice, and coffee. Parking will be available at Bolich Middle School with shuttle services provided by the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department to those who need it. The Foundation will be selling t-shirts and will have raffle baskets. Along with tours, visitors will be able to view preliminary designs of the memorial.
