While Cuyahoga Falls municipal offices are closed to the public, city employees continue to provide services to residents and businesses both online and by phone.
The Cuyahoga Falls Police and Fire Departments are fully staffed and prepared to respond to emergency calls as needed. For non-emergency situations, please call dispatch at 330-928-2181.
Service Departments continue to provide services utilizing staggered shifts to ensure social distancing. Residents may contact departments as listed below during regular business hours:

Community Development Department:

Income Tax:

The deadlines to file and pay municipal income taxes are extended to July 15, 2020.  The Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) call center is available for taxpayer calls at 800.860.7482. RITA also offers convenient online services at

Mayor’s Court:

The Cuyahoga Falls Mayor’s Court has rescheduled all cases having an appearance date scheduled through April 16, 2020. Most citations can be paid by waiver, meaning no appearance is required. Payments can be made online, by mail, or by hand-delivering the payment to the drop box that is located in the Police Department lobby. Neighborhood Excellence, Communications, and Community Outreach Department:

Law Department:

Parks and Recreation:

Sanitation, Yard Waste, and Recycling:

Effective Monday, April 6, 2020, all trash, yard waste, and recyclables must fit in their respective carts. Bagged or bundled yard waste will not be picked up. Bulk pickup is suspended, and the spring cleanup program is being postponed until further notice. Yard waste carts are available and may be obtained by contacting the Utility Billing Department at 330.971.8250 or A $25 down payment is required but is refundable upon return of the cart.

Utility Payments:

Utility bills may be paid online, by mail, or dropped at locked drop boxes located outside of City Hall at the Utility Billing entrance, in the parking lot of the Natatorium, and in the lobby of the Police Department.  Account numbers or service addresses must be noted on the payments so that they may be accurately applied to the respective accounts.  Online payment is available. The $2.90 processing fee for online payments is being waived for those who choose to pay online during the suspension of in-person payments.

Those who are looking to sign up for service through Utility Billing will need to complete the online Utilities Contract. The contract and all required documents can be emailed and processed through Residents may contact Utility Billing by calling 330-971-8250.

City Buildings Closed

The following City Buildings remain closed to the public through May 1, 2020:

  • Cuyahoga Falls City Hall
  • Natatorium
  • Quirk Cultural Center
  • Neighborhood Parks

While our local parks are open for exercise opportunities, please practice physical distancing. Public playgrounds and basketball courts are closed per order of Gov. Mike DeWine.
