The Sidewalk Improvement Program is designed to assist residents and businesses with needed sidewalk repairs.
In order to ensure a sustainable infrastructure, the city offers support to fix deteriorated sidewalks and drive approaches. These services include:
- Permit Processing
- Contractor Services
- Landscape Repair
- Financial Assistance
All residents and businesses are eligible to apply. Projects are selected on a first come, first served basis. The program is conducted throughout the summer months, but requests for service may be submitted year-round.
Please note that a definitive budget is set annually for this project. If city funds are fully depleted but projects requests remain, those associated customers are prioritized for the following year.
Charges
Each the city and the customer are responsible for fifty percent of the project. Details vary by project.
Billing
All work is billed the February following the completion of the project. This work assessment is added to the customer's tax payment due the April following the completion of the project.
