Mayor Don Walters Announces a Presentation on Community and Environmental Stewardship

The City of Cuyahoga Falls and other communities are facing increased costs to dispose of yard waste and recyclable materials. To help inform residents on updated guidelines, the City will host a meeting on ‘Community & Environmental Stewardship’ on Saturday, August 11, at 10 a.m. at Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Avenue. Public Utilities and Community Outreach Coordinator Becky McCleary will be the speaker and will cover topics including How to Recycle Responsibly, Hazardous Waste Recycling, Yard Waste Tips, and Energy Efficiency.

There will be a Neighborhood Ambassador meeting immediately following the Community & Environmental Stewardship presentation on August 11, beginning at 10:45 a.m. Neighborhood Ambassadors will exchange ideas and discuss upcoming projects and ideas. Residents who are interested in the Neighborhood Excellence Initiative or becoming a Neighborhood Ambassador are invited to attend this meeting.
