The city works diligently to underscore the importance of a healthy environment for a healthy community.

Cuyahoga Falls has aligned itself with three integral organizations, Keep America Beautiful, Tree City U.S.A., and the Cuyahoga River Water Trail, which all provide opportunities for residents to explore the out-of-doors and maintain our natural resources.

Cuyahoga River Water Trail

The City of Cuyahoga Falls Environmental Educational Outreach Coordinator serves on the Steering Committee of the Cuyahoga River Water Trail partners organization. The goal of the Water Trail Partners organization is to facilitate and support each of the six sections of the Cuyahoga River in becoming a designated Water Trail. Water Trail designation supports overall Cuyahoga River restoration, and highlights each section of the Cuyahoga River as a recreational destination.

Keep Cuyahoga Falls Beautiful

Keeping Cuyahoga Falls Beautiful (KCFB) is a collaboration among all City of Cuyahoga Falls municipal departments, local citizens and business, as well as with partners such as the Summit Soil and Water Conservation District, the Ohio EPA and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. KCFB serves as an umbrella for litter cleanups and litter prevention education, beautification projects, recycling education programs, urban forestry initiatives, among other contributions to environmental quality and community improvement.

KCFB is a national affiliate of Keep America Beautiful and a state affiliate of Keep Ohio Beautiful, both which focus on community environmental education and public outreach, cleanup and beautification projects (pollinator gardens), pollution prevention, community improvement, and preventing urban blight.
