It's never too late to learn how to play tennis!

Taught by Walt Jacoby, beginner and intermediate class levels are offered for anyone aged 16 and up and take place once a week for 3 weeks. Anyone taking the class is asked to bring a new can of tennis balls to the first lesson.

2018 Schedule

All classes take place on Wednesday evenings.


Beginners will learn forehand and backhand, how to properly serve, net play and overhead hitting, while also teaching participants how to keep score during their games. The course will allow both singles and doubles play during the class.

  • Time: 6:15-7:30 p.m.

Intermediates will learn more advanced skills, such as putting topspin on your forehands and backhands, as well as how to utilize strategy in both singles and doubles play through a combination of drills and live games.

Cuyahoga Falls High School Tennis Courts

The nearest parking for the tennis courts is off of Thomas Court which intersects at Fourth Street.


  • Resident: $40 per session

  • Non-resident: $45 per session

Pre-registration is required. Registration will not be taken at the courts. Deadline to register is one day prior to the first day of lessons.
