Every year the greater Cuyahoga Falls community comes together to celebrate the life and service of Daniel Crabtree in the annual 5K run and walk.

All ages and abilities are welcome to participate in this exciting event. Medals are awarded to winning participants and raffle prizes are given out among those present at the end of the race.

All proceeds go towards the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

About SFC Daniel B. Crabtree

SFC Daniel B. Crabtree was a U.S. Army Special Forces "Green Beret" who was a Cuyahoga Falls Police Officer and member of Company B, 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne), of the Ohio Army National Guard, when he was killed in Al-Kut, Iraq, during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) on June 8, 2006.

The first Crabtree Memorial 5K was held in 2008 as a way to remember not only Dan, but all service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice to our country. Over the years, more than $20,000 has been raised for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. This charity provides scholarships to the children of fallen Special Operations Warriors (SEALs, Green Berets, etc.).
